We took advantage of our time on the trip to spend some time with my grandparents in St. George. Here the kids are listening to their stories and enjoying the songs. To me this moment was priceless.

Grandma's Funeral
My husband's grandma past away and we made the trip up to Utah for the funeral. She had lived a long life and was ready to go when the time came. She will be missed, but we were happy she was able to move on.
Highlights included meeting and being reacquainted with my husband's cousins. All of them made it to the funeral. I put together a video of pictures from her life and I really enjoyed getting to know her better.
We had a get together with everyone before the funeral and just enjoyed family. It was wonderful.
This was the first funeral my kids had ever attended. I found it hard to talk about a sensitive issue with plain words my small ones could understand. They handled everything very well. After everything we had lunch and the kids were able to go out and throw rocks into the lake.
